Creation: In the beginning, there was hope

I have been wanting to create a blog for over a year now to explore issues of social justice and English education in Oregon, specifically from what I see and learn from the many, many hours of professional development classes and conferences that I attend. Some of the larger questions that I want to focus on are: *What resources are availabale to educators in Oregon? (especially free ones!) *How are immigrant and refugee needs being addressed by this speaker or conference? (or not) *What is happening in Oregon around immigrants and refugees, and how are those actions and events effecting students and schools?
